Monday 31st October – Friday 3rd November 2023
Our October Half-Term Activity Camp was another huge success as we welcomed regular and new faces from our community to stay active during the school holidays. We introduced Cherrys Dance Camp this October/ November half term.
Friday, 3rd November 2023
This event was a huge success with over 2500 people in attendance. The community was brought together for this FREE annual event. It went off with a bang with a spectacular show. It’s one of our favourite events of the year as it is such a popular and grandiose event. It’s great to have some many members of our community together at one time and we can’t wait to make it bigger and better next year.
Tuesday, 9th November 2023
This month we introduced Youth Club DJ sessions to our Senior Youth Club which have been a huge success. This is a skill and vocation that is not readily available to many young people so we are really proud be able to offer our senior members this for free.
Saturday, 18th November 2023
York Valkyrie Captain and 2023’s Woman Of Steel Sinead Peach, who started her Rugby career at Hunslet, hosted an open training session at The Oval for potential players and volunteers. The event was a huge success and was the launch of our girls Rugby section who will train every Saturday at 11am. We are still recruiting for girls between the age of 11-16. Friday, 24th November 2023
Skating into our senior youth club group was a FREE roller disco event. It was a great opportunity for our seniors to try a new skill as most of them had never put on a pair of skates before. It was a night of fun and laughter.
Saturday 2nd December and Sunday 3rd December 2023
Our very own ‘The Hunslet Rogues’ youth led theatrical group performed The Greatest Showman to two sell out audiences over two nights. It was a spectacular performance; we are so proud of our young members for all their hard work and dedication. The passion and energy the show brought to The Hunslet Club was unparalleled and we are excited to see what they do next.
Wednesday 6th December 2023
We visited Leeds City College for the Sports Academies Open Event promoting our male and female boxing sports academy programs. It was great to speak to young students about their ambitions of becoming professional boxers and how The Hunslet Club can help them achieve their goals.
Friday 8th December 2023
Our senior youth club hosted 60 senior citizens from various organisations in South Leeds for a night of festive fun. This youth led event saw our young members plan and execute the whole event, from preparing, cooking and serving a three-course meal to organising young members from different sections of the club for a night of entertainment and games including theatre productions, singing and a ballet performance. It was a truly beautiful night where the gap between the younger members of our society and older generation was bridged. The night ended with our event organisers dancing and singing Christmas songs with the senior citizens.
Sunday 10th December 2023
The families of The Hunslet Club community gathered for a fun filled, festive event. The children enjoyed a Santa Experience, face painting, biscuit decorating, Christmas arts and crafts and more. It’s always a fantastic event and the smiles on the children’s faces each year represents what The Hunslet Club is all about.

We’ve had fantastic guest speakers visit us during activity camps, events, and our youth clubs.
