About Our Football Programme

Our Football programme offers development sessions for everyone, from children who want to play for fun and improve their skills to those aiming to compete as part of our football teams. Whether your child is new to the game or already playing regularly in a team, we offer a pathway to suit all abilities and ambitions.

For players interested in joining one of our competitive teams, we recommend attending the age-appropriate development session. From there, parents and players can speak directly with the coach about progression opportunities and the pathway into team football.

Our focus is on development, enjoyment, confidence, and teamwork, creating a positive and inclusive environment for all players.

The Hunslet Club operates one of the most thriving junior football sections in South Leeds, with 17 teams including 14 boys' teams and 3 dedicated girls' teams competing across Leeds leagues.

FA Charter Standard Club

We are proud to hold FA Charter Standard status, demonstrating our commitment to providing quality coaching, safe environments, and proper football development pathways for young players.

Partnerships

The Hunslet Club football section has established valuable partnerships with Leeds United Football Club and the West Yorkshire County FA. These collaborations create pathways for talented players who aspire to professional opportunities, with connections to talent scouts and development programmes.

Girls' Football

At The Hunslet Club, we’re proud to give girls the opportunity to get involved in football in a fun, welcoming and supportive environment. Boosting girls’ participation in sport is an ongoing mission for us. Our girls’ section is already thriving, but there is still plenty of room to grow, and we’re committed to growth in this section and always keen to welcome new players. Our sessions run on Tuesdays and are open to all abilities, whether you’re new to the game or already playing. We focus on building confidence, developing skills, and making sure every session is enjoyable. Just as important, we help players build friendships, learn teamwork, and grow in confidence both on and off the pitch. Join us.

JPL Opportunities at The Hunslet Club

At The Hunslet Club, we are proud to offer young players the opportunity to compete in the Junior Premier League (JPL) through Leeds Riverside EFC. This provides a clear pathway for talented and dedicated footballers to experience a higher level of training and competition, right here in the heart of their community.

Our JPL programme is designed for players who are passionate about football and ready to challenge themselves. With access to high-quality facilities and experienced coaching staff, players are supported in developing their technical skills, tactical understanding, and physical performance.
